Stampin'Up! Regional

Yesterday I attended my first Stampin’Up! Regional meeting. What fun! For those of you reading this who are not SU demonstrators, an explanation: Stampin’Up! holds a series of conferences and regional meetings across the country through out the year for their demonstrators. Where we (the demonstrators) can learn marketing techniques and business tips to increase our business, tips on using SU products and new paper crafting techniques to share with our customers. And of course, it is a great opportunity to meet and share with other demonstrators.

So I thought I’d share a few photos. Here’s one of my dear friends, and fellow demonstrators, Kari Anderson and Joanne Pittman. Joanne is reading over the instructions for one of the make-and-take projects we did.

Isn’t this adorable? This is one of the home décor projects that were demonstrated. It was made using discarded CD’s and product from the Stampin'Up! Spring-Summer 2008 Collection. The CD’s were covered with Bali Breeze Designer Series paper. The letters are from the On Board Simon Upper chipboard pack. The letters were covered with Chocolate Chip craft ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The house and cloud images were made using the “Neighborhood” Stampin’Around Jumbo wheel and then colored using the watercolor technique. Holes were punched in the CD’s and jumbo eyelets attached using the Crop-A-Dile. And finally they were strung using 5/8” Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

Another sample with a seasonal theme, Fall is on one side and on the reverse is Noel. So as the season changes you turn over the CD for a new display.

This is another clever idea that was presented by a demonstrator. (Sorry I forgot her name but she was from Placentia, CA.) They are made using jumbo binder clips. You could use them as place card holders, to hold a Get Well greeting in a hospital room where the patient can’t have flowers, or for displaying other greetings.

This is amazing, or at least it was to me. Jeanne Ciolli, a demonstrator from Trabuco Canyon, CA, showed us how she made 30 cards from one Simply Scrappin’ kit (Summer Days). There are only 26 in this photo because I couldn’t get all of them in the frame. The remaining four are below.

I am so glad I got the opportunity to attend this event. Being eligible to attend the Annual SU Convention and Regionals is one of the best perks of being a Demonstrator. I hope you enjoy the photos.
