1) Begin with a 11 1/4" square piece of paper. Note: Do not use cardstock. It is too thick and will not fold easily.
2) Turn the paper so the point at the top of the "triangle" is facing downward. Score the paper at 5" from the left side.
If you are using a Scor-Pal, place your folded paper on the guide as shown - with the left point aligned with on the left of the guide. Make a score at the 5" mark.
3) Score the paper 5" from the right side.
If you are using a Scor-Pal, place your folded paper on the guide as shown - with the right point aligned with the right of the guide. Make a score at the 7" mark.
4) Turn the paper around (so that the point is at the top.) Using the score mark, fold the right point towards the center. Crease hard using a bone folder or score tool.
5) Using the score mark on the left, fold the left point towards the center. Crease hard.
6) Take the tip of the left point and fold it back to the left so that the new verical fold is at the bottom of the V formed by the overlapping sections. Again, crease hard.
7) Open the section just folded and push it forward to create a diamond pocket.
8) Crease edges of the pocket created.
9) Turn the envelope side ways and make a score mark at 4" from what is the bottom of the envelope.
10) Tuck the top point of the envelope into the diamond shaped pocket (using the score mark just made.)
11) If you wish you can decorate the closure.
12) For the inside use 5 1/2" x 8" piece of paper. Decorate as desired. Score on the 8" side at 4".
13) Finally, adhere this piece to the inside of your Note-a-lope.
