Recycled Envelope Cards

Don't throw away those envelopes you receive as junk mail! Here are a few ideas for projects you can make with them. Yes, folks. It's my latest video tutorial. Hope you enjoy it.

Materials List:

Project #1
8 1/2" x 11" piece of Card stock scored at 2 1/4" and 6 3/4"
(1) smaller envelope
Decorative paper, stamps, or stickers, etc. to decorate pocket

Project #2
8 1/2" x 11" piece of Card stock scored at 2 1/4" and 6 3/4"
(3) envelopes cut at 8" wide
(3) pieces of decorative paper or card stock cut any shape for closing end of envelopes. I used 3 pcs. cut 2" x 4" and scored in half lengthwise.
Decorative paper, stamps, or stickers, etc. to decorate pockets

Project #3
8 1/2" x 11" piece of Card stock scored at 2 1/4" and 6 3/4"
(3) envelopes one cut at 8", one at 7", and one at 6"
(3) 2" x 4" pcs. card stock to hinge envelopes.
Decorative paper, stamps, or stickers, etc. to decorate pockets

This is awesome! I pay a lot of my bills on line, so I have several of those envelopes left over every month. Thanks for the great idea!

Hi Michelle! This was a great tutorial. I saw someone use security envelopes to create background paper and I didn't note where I saw it. I asked on SCS if anyone could help and I was directed to your blog. I am so glad I was directed toward you. I'll definitely be checking back.

Love the first tutorial.. Here is an idea to go along with that.. why not make a coupon holder out of it and instead of sealing it, put round velcro on the flap so that it can be opened and shut easily.
