Here is a guide with the measurements (start with a 5" x 7" piece of cardstock.) Just click on any of the photos below for a closer look.

And here are photos of the cards I showed in the video.

If you are interested in learning how to make the background I made in the card above here is the direct link to the tutorial on my blog. It is called Faux Marble with Metallic Markers.
Enjoy!

I was looking at your card ideas, and I think it would be cool to combine 2 of them. Attach a gift card (or cash) to the flat surface of the center of the swing card. It will swing as the card is opened revealing the gift.
This is my first seeing something like this EVER! I'm a 33 year old male who just start making cards a few months ago. I have never seen this before. You are AWESOME!!! I'm really into making cards litterally. You have inspired more then ever. Thank you for the tips and techniques so very much!!! Keep doing what you are doing seriously.
I just made my first Swing card today following your instructions.
I noticed that someone else also asked this question so I don't know if you will read this after such a long time BUT I needed to make a larger card and I tried to work out the measurements but was slightly out on them so the flap bit shows on the outer edges.
Is there a formula to use,My card was 12 inches long as I had some 12 X 12 card that I liked the pattern of.
Thanks
ScattyShirley
hmm I tried the Faux marbling effects but it didn't work is there a special type of marker you use please.
Thanks
