Gently Used Stamps for Sale

I have several retired Stampin'Up! stamp sets for sale. Most are gently used and some may have staining on the wood. If you are interested in any of these sets, please email me (michellewedemeyer@sbcglobal.net.) If the set is still available, I will send you a payment request through Paypal. Shipping is approximately $4.95 per order or you can pick them up if you live locally.

I didn't take photos of the sets because of the amount of memory it would require. But If you want to know what images are in the stamp set, refer to the index image in the gallery at splitcoaststampers.com. Just put the name of the set in the search box.

Stamps & Chicken Salad

Yesterday I had a chance to get together with a couple of my dear friends and fellow Stampin'Up! demonstrators, Kari and Joanne. In addition to sharing a delicious lunch (thanks Joanne for the yummy chicken salad croissants), we stamped and swapped. So I thought I'd share some photos of what we made.

P.S. Thank you Kari, for sharing your beautiful new kitchen and to the both of you for such a fun day!

Hope Has Arrived in the White House

I couldn't let the day go by without sharing with you how excited and filled with hope I am today with the inauguration of our new President Barack Obama. I am reminded how blessed I am to live in this great country. I have been watching the news coverage throughout the day and many times have been moved to tears. As a country we may sometimes stumble, but this time I think we got it right.

The New Spring & Summer Catalog is here!

Have you seen it? The new 2009 Stampin'Up! Spring & Summer Idea Book & Catalog has just arrived. You can take a closer look here. There's lots of new stamp sets, gorgeous designer series papers, new Sizzix dies and embossing plates, new accessories, well.... lots of new goodies. Every time I look through it my wish list gets longer.

If you'd like to have a hard copy of the new catalog, place an online order through my Stampin'Up! website (link) and I will send you a free catalog*. Unfortunatly, I have to limit this offer to United States residents only. Due to international regulations I can not ship product outside the States. But the good news is that Stampin'Up! products are now available in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and France. If you reside in one of these countries just go to stampinup.com and click on the menu bar for your location.

How to use a Stamping Wheel

I made this video tutorial some time ago, but just never got around to uploading it. I find sometimes that people are intimidated by stamping wheels. Either they don't know how to use one, or are frustrated by the results they had when they did attempt to use one. So I put this video together to offer a few tips to make it easier to master this versatile stamping tool.

A punch index is a useful little tool that comes in handy when you're shopping for stamps and planning your scrapbook pages or card layouts. Here's how to make yours.

Fanciful Fabric Fashion Cuffs

Did you see these fabric cuffs by Lisa Guerin in the current (Winter 2009) issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry? I don't usually buy this publication. Don't get me wrong, I love all the publications by Stampington & Company. They showcase such beautiful work. I just have a hard enough time keeping up with all the other magazines I seem to accumulate, that I can't justify the extra expense. But a couple of projects in this issue really caught my eye so I had to indulge.

So here is my take on Lisa's cuffs. I changed mine up a bit (we always have to make it our own don't we?) I really love how they came out.

If you're wondering, the "buttons" are made with Shrinky Dinks. Remember those? I wish we still carried them in the Stampin'Up! catalog. Anyway, I found a sheet of almond colored Shrinky Dinks I had buried in my craft supplies. I stamped the images on it and then punched them out with my large oval punch and my 1 3/8" circle punch. Using punches on Shrinky Dinks is always so much easier than trying to cut out a uniform shape with scissors.

Well, thanks for stopping by. I really need to get back now to whipping some things up for my next video. See you soon.
