More Alchol Inks Samples
I haven't gotten as much done this week as I would I have liked. It's been raining here a lot lately, which means lots of kids indoors; which means lots of interruptions. But I thought I would share a couple of photos of what I did manage to get done. I have been working on samples and class notes for an alcohol inks workshop I'm planning.
To start, a few card fronts. It's really difficult to get a good photograph of these. The color variations and the metallic inks just don't show up well on film. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that these are much more impressive in person. I just love working with these inks. The results are always serendipitous and original.
This one I liked so much, I had to frame it. I even added a gold metallic rub-on tint on the frame to highlight the gold tones in the print.
Well, I hope to be back very soon with more to share. In the meantime, Happy Valentine's Day.

Preparing for Class
Seems it's been awhile since I've made a post, but I have a good excuse. I've been busy preparing for some classes I am teaching at a local craft store. So here's the scoop....

I'll be teaching how to make this "Pocketbook" album on Saturday, March 14th. This is an adaptation of Jan Tink's cute little Carousel Notes album.

And I'll be teaching how to make this Passport Memories album on Saturday, March 28th. Both classes will be at the Tall Mouse craft store in Yorba Linda, California. For more information please email me (michellewedemeyer@sbcglobal.net) and I will send the details on how you can register.
I'm also planning an alcohol inks workshop. I haven't set a date for this class yet. If you've never worked with alcohol inks; they're awesome. Here's a photo of some samples I made this weekend using them.

This isn't the best photo. They are really much more colorful in person. I probably should have waited until I could take this photo outside using daylight (it's dark out now.) Anywhoo... I'll post more information about this class later.
So now you're caught up on what I've been working on. I'm hoping to get a video tutorial shot and edited this week. Now that I've posted it I'll have to do to it, right?
Be back soon.
