What do you think about these?

Lately, I have been playing around with my Sizzix dies to make other projects besides cards. Here are a couple of the results. What do you think?

I made both of these necklaces using the Beautiful Butterflies die (one of my favorites) from Stampin' Up, catalog #114507. For this first necklace I used some makeup bags that my daughter was throwing out because they had broken zippers.

For this second one, I cut the butterflies from upholstery material I picked up from the clearance bin at the fabric store. Then I sewed them onto a fabric collar I made from some black denim.

So what do you think? Would you wear them?

Wow, what a brilliant idea. I love the materials you've used, the make-up bags look great. I would wear these, altho probably would want the collar in the second one to be a bit narrower so that there was less fabric showing behind the butterflies. It looks good as it is, tho, and I expect other people will have different ideas.

Michelle you are so creative. The butterflies are beautiful. I agree with nerlybird about less fabric showing behind the butterflies those butterflies have such an airy light gorgeous feel to them. Thanks for showing your latest creation.

Nice work Michelle. Here in Ukraine we look for alternative materials all the time since most scrap book things can't be bought here. That was a clever idea. I"m going to post it on my crafty fan page on Facebook. It will direct back here. Cheers, Coleen

Michelle,
1. I LOVE your posts & would love to see more of them.
2. I think the 1st pix is gorgeous!
3. I would prefer to see the silver butterflies on a chain instead of on top of fabric.
Please write more in your blog.
One happy subscriber to your blog,
Barbara (Bobbie)

Beautiful! I might wear the simple necklace made from the make up bags, but not the elaborate second necklace. ONLY because jewelry has become a "special occasion only" thing for me. Living in such a warm climate (Tucson, AZ), my necklines and blouse styles have changed. So much so that the second necklace would never work for me now, but I do love it. Don't stop there Michelle. You're on the right track for sure.

I would wear the first one with a pretty spring/summer top or dress. The second one, I'm not feeling it.
